Peace

Joe passed away peacefully yesterday evening surrounded by his loved ones.

For all that have spoken with, or visited with him this past week, don't forget that he made you promise that you would smile instead of cry upon hearing this news.

He was truly at peace with what was happening, and we should all get some comfort from that.

Please continue to pray for Grace, Joey and Cooper.

Remembering with a smile what a sweet, funny, and mischevious guy Joe could be. You picked a wonderful man for a husband and father and I am grateful that the two of you had an opportunity to build such a beautiful family and life together. Sending prayers, love, and positive thoughts for comfort to you and the kids!

  9. Although my heart is heavy my smile is on, just as Joey made me promise the day I left the hospital. It was amazing to see Joe's sense of humor, sarcasm, and wit shine thru till the end. Even in the unfavorable hospital setting, through a lot of tears and laughter, lifelong memories were made and shared with family and friends.

Jessica, you are an amazing woman, great wife, mother, and friend. Keep doing what you and Joe did together with those kids, you have such an amazing and beautiful family.

Grace, Joey and Cooper... you all will continue to amaze your dad everyday as he watches down on you.

To Joe's Family, Thank you for all that you've done for me and treating me so kindly. Allowing me to stay up north on the lake and making sure I had gluten free meals, I'll never forget that place and the good times I shared with the Walters family! Bob, what an honor it was to meet the guy who Joe got his humor from, keep being funny in the name of Joe!

To all of Joey and Jessica's friends in Michigan, I know Joe found some peace with leaving us knowing you all would be continued support, and strength for his family.

  10. I met the Walters family in 2007 when I started work at the daycare the kids attended. From that moment we became friends. I feel like I have watched them grow since then and I consider my self lucky to have been part of that.although joes passing is extremely sad, I know that Jessica, grace, Joey, and cooper will survive because not only are they all strong, brave, and all around wonderful, but because those kids have the greatest mom ever!!! I consider myself lucky to know them and I hope I continue to know them for years to come. R.i.p. joe- you will always be remembered and never forgotten.
P.s. thank you joe for the pearl jam cd's and videos! From one fan to another! Lol:)

  12. Joe,

I got the news last night from Dave B, it is never a good phone call to get. You will be missed. We had a lot of laughs and for that I will always be thankful. Your magic tricks and those stupid habanero contests in the office....yeah those were brilliant!!! I know you are pain free and that brings a smile to my face as we promised at the hospital.....I wear my bracelet with honor and pride. My friend we will meet again some day!!

    Bobbie D!

Jess, Grace, Joey and Cooper.....My heart goes out to you and the rest of your family. Your are in my prayers and thoughts.

  13. Jessica words cannot express how terribly sorry I am for the loss of your precious husband. Ever since I found out he was sick I have prayed daily for him and your family, and I will continue to pray for you now. I hope you find comfort in knowing Joe is in a wonderful, glorious place free of pain and worry and he is now able to look upon his beautiful family all the days of your lives and be incredibly proud of the family he helped you to build together. What a wonderful thing you and him have together, and will ALWAYS have :) Nothing can take away all the memories and love between you, Joe and the kids. Sending my love and prayers your way <3
